BIG IDEA:
- I CAN create a symmetrical tree totem representing the winter season inspired by traditional paper cutting from Poland.
- I CAN apply visual strategies and multiple mediums to create artwork that communicated ideas and shows careful use of art materials

GOALS / DESIGN PROCESS:
1. On an 11x17 paper fill the paper (using up the negative space) and create a design of a tree
2. Make sure all lines are attached (like a spider web) and revise as needed
3. Cut out negative space so you are left with just your tree design. Use xacto blade as necessary.
4. Paste onto another piece of paper
5. Cut around border of 2nd layer. Leave at least a quarter inch from your design
6. Follow last step as much as you want. You should have at least 2-3 layers
7. Add and embellish with colored pencil, oil pastel, paint, added paper
8. Think outside of the box and change as needed to show creativity and imagination.
